Christmas Eve

Santa comes tonight!!!! I am like a child on Christmas Eve ;) I have always loved Christmas Eve. Now as a parent, I love it more. To see the excitement in your childs eyes as they open their gifts and see Christmas magic thru their eyes!
 Today we get to be with J's family. Where there is a ton of kids and lots of noise and action. Tomorrow is a quiet day with my family after we have Christmas at our home.

O and I ruined my CHristmas surprise this year! BOO!! I DO NOT like to know my presents! But I discovered accidently on the credit card bill.. So I guess that is another reason I am so giddy today. Tomorrow i FINALLY GET my IPAD :) YIPPEE!! LOL

School Christmas Party

Running behind on posts! But last week was the end of the first semester of 1st grade for R. I can't believe how fast time flies by! Lots of fun at the Christmas Party!
I am very blessed to be the home room mom for R's class. I love every minute of it.

This snowman on a stick is VERY deceiving! Looks so nice and pretty here. Unfortunatley, that is NOT how they ended up going home with the kids. Oh, a few were ok, but there were a few that were awful. I am hoping the parents thought they got smushed in the backpacks LOL. Needless to say, I WON"T be doing these again. When you put the stick thru the donuts, the donuts sometimes crack. GRRR!!!!!! Anyway, they were a pain, but still fun to do! :)

The snack for the party was Smore's. Chosen by the other 1st grade homeroom moms. I despise cold smores so I was determined to somehow have a 'cold smore' with 'melted chocolate' if that makes sense! Anyway, I melted the almond bark, and put on 2 graham crackers, then put a peppermint marshmallow on top then drizzled with more chocolate. They were soo yummy! The new seasonal marshmallows have a tiny hint of peppermint flavor. Just enough! The kids loved them and even the parents that tried them liked them!

This past Monday, we went in search of a beautiful Christmas tree. It wasn't long, till we found it and was headed home ;)

Monday, R & I went to Target, so she could get some ideas for her wish list for Santa. Here are a few of her ideas :) ( We did this last year, went thru Target and took pictures of what she wanted with the cell phone! Great idea for forgetful moms like me!!!)

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I am thankful for so much this year. Health, family, friends, our home, my church, J's new job, and much more to name!

We had Thanksgiving with J's family on this past Saturday. Of course I didn't hardly take any pics! But did get one of the cute Turkey my sis in law made! My oven is out, so my contribution was limited to a apple pie I baked at my mil's house!

New oven is first on the list after Thanksgiving!!! Gotta get it back, so i can bake some cakes! And other holiday goodies!

Christmas shopping is underway! I LOVE deal shopping!!! I have gotten some great buys already! I love that my list is getting shorter and not too bad on the pocket book!!

Not much going on around here..

One reason I didn't want to blog was because I hate when blogs go w/o being updated! And here I go! I understand now why people that blog, don't have something every day. Some days there is just not much to share!

Last Saturday, we got to attend J's company picnic. It was the first one they had ever had and it was a blast. TONS of stuff for the kids to do. YuMMy food, giant turkey legs, boudain, hamburgers, sausage, links, ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn, etc.. Cupcake decorating, wax hands, military dog tags, face painting, fun balloons, big jumpers for the kids and live bands. We really enjoyed it.

This week, I have been working at the book fair at school. I love getting to help out at the school! The kids are so cute and so sweet. Like the little red head this morning, that hollered out "HI Raegan's mom"! LOL, that is how they know me as!

Looking forward to this Saturday. Time with the family for Thanksgiving! Also, looking forward to NO SCHOOL next week! Whohoo! Christmas pictures and loads of fun next week.

Halloween

Happy Belated Halloween! Hope you all had a great, fun night! We did. So glad its over though! We have enough candy to last a few months at least!

Lots of fun starting on Thursday night. Homecoming parade. We got soo much candy and got to hear and see Cherokee!! Purple treat bags at school Friday for homecoming (all purple candy LOL) A costume bday party for a sweet sixteen year old on Friday night! Then to sister in laws church on Saturday night for a AWESOME Fall Festival. Lots of crafts, cake walk, trunk or treat, good food and fun. Sunday, I baked for the teachers. We had treats for the teachers at school. Then finally Monday.. Halloween Treat bags were sent home and  Trick or Treated Monday night.

For the treat bags on Monday, I made a couple ideas I had seen on Pinterest.. Have I said how ADDICTED I am to this site? OMW, its such fun! But at least I can say I am using ideas (cooked last nights supper from there!) and not just storing away ideas for a rainy day :)

Anway, back to Halloween... Rae was a Polka Dotted Witch. Turned out super cute I think! Got tons of compliments on her outfit. Mimi did a great job!

Virus`

Not much going on this week except taking care of a sick kid. At times like these, I am VERY thankful to have only one child. Can't imagine having more than one kid sick with a dreaded virus. Poor R is very upset that she now longer has the chance at perfect attendance. She had made up her mind before school started that she wanted perfect attendance and then someone shared the great virus with her. She cried over this.. Poor baby ;(

Hopefully she is on the mend and be ready for this weekend.. Lots of things going on for Halloween. Mimi is mailing her costume to us today and should have it by Friday!! Turned out pretty cute from the picture I seen!

Busy as a bee...

Whew, craft sale is this week. Thankful for the cool weather spell we will have while its craft sale time! Just makes it feel more like craft sale time when we get a front! Normally it is pouring down rain on Thursday when we have to deliver everything, but have a feeling with the drought, we will be free of that this year!

 I got my little 2x4 snowmen complete. Thanks to J for helping me out! I think they are quite cute :) Of course, I love all snowmen. Ugly, cute, fat, short, skinny, bright colors etc.. My house and tree are covered in snowmen when it comes time for Christmas! This year, I have a Amish snowman joining the rest of the 100's I have. From Lancaster County, PA!!!! But back to craft sale snowmen, here they are:

Today I am making Mummy Oreo's on a stick! Can't wait to see how they turn out! Then as the week progresses, Giant Chocolate Covered Marshmallows on a stick, Giant Smores on a stick, Peep Pumpkin Smore bags, Fall M&M Magic Cookie Bars, Pumpkin sheet cakes and, and and... The list continues...This is all to be finished by Thursday by the way.

On to Christmas. I got R's Christmas dress ordered this morning.

On the Game On Diet, my 2nd round ended. Our team won again (me, Steph and Tori)! Whohoo! Just barely tho, by 3 points I believe it was! It served as a reminder that every point counts, and when you don't feel like exercising or eating correctly, then you just might loose cuz you didn't get your points in!

Happy 12 years to my husband!

So hard to believe that time flies so fast. It has been 12 wonderful years married to my best friend. We had a wonderful weekend together. On Friday evening we went to Houston. Stayed at the Galleria. When I went to check into our room, the young girl working behind the counter asked why we were there. I told her celebrating our 12th anniversary. She smiled and said she was going to upgrade our room to a King Suite and give us free breakfast!! Every time she seen us that weekend, she would tell us congrats again and again. I guess its few and far between these days to see couples stay married together rather than divorce. That evening we had dinner at Cheesecake Factory (stayed on my diet with a veggie omelet and no cheesecake!) and then to see Faces at the AD Players theatre. Very good, but we are both still a little confused on it ;)

Saturday morning, I actually slept past 7 o clock!! More like till past 8. It was so wonderful to sleep late :) Or what I consider late! After a nice breakfast (FREE) at the hotel, we ventured off to Galveston for the afternoon. We rode 2 seater bikes down the seawall. FUN FUN FUN! Got my exercise in for the day and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. The beach was beautiful (well as beautiful as Galveston beach can be!) Not too many people out and the water looked nice. For lunch, we had big ol' hamburgers at THE SPOT. We love this place. Homemade buns and add your fixin's to your burger. (This was my off day on the diet) Later we came back to THE SPOT for GIANT waffle cones of Blue Bell Icecream. Blue Bell equals LOVE! Wow, it was delicious.

Sunday morning, we got R and decided to take her to Kemah for a few hours. We enjoyed our family time. Saltgrass for lunch. Rode the Ferris Wheel and the train as a family, then more rides for R.

I am thankful for the husband that God gave me. Thankful he provides for our little family so that I'm able to stay home and do the things I get to do. PTA, homeroom mom, all the things R needs me to do, and that J needs me to do. I am truly blessed.

Tuesday ramblings

R is taking piano lessons. She is loving it so far. Working on her 2nd month! Snapped this pic today while she was practicing. Maybe one day we can get a 'big' piano! But for now, the keyboard is doing great!

God answered a prayer for us. A big one. I am so thankful that God knows just what is right for us in our lives and cares enough about us to guide us in the right direction! He knows what is best for the now and our future!

This week R gets out early two days! She just doesn't understand that its FUN to get out of school early ;) She thinks its torture. She loves school!!! I know one day in the near future that will probably change, but for now, school is cool!!

On to Halloween. I finally decided Mimi has to make R's costume. So Mimi, if your reading this while your on vacation, get ready soon as you get home to tackle the project!! She will be a Polka Dot Princess.

A beautiful day for a wedding

The big day that was prepared for so long has come and gone now. It was absolutely gorgeous. Probably my favorite wedding this year. The colors were so beautiful together. Rich peacock colors all mixed together. Very beautiful. Plus my favorite little girl was a flower girl ;)

YAY its Friday! One more day till my favorite month of the year! OCTOBER!!! Love so much about this month. Our anniversary, church craft sale, Halloween, pumpkins, and usually our first cool weather of the fall!!

On the Game On diet news, I have officially lost 18 pounds since we started the game Aug 15! I'm so excited! Hoping for 35 off by Christmas. I'm going to do this!!!!

Good morning! I'm loving Pinterest (the virtual pinboard) but can't figure out how to "PIN". I've read there are problems with Pinning and Internet explorer and thats what I have. If anyone can help me, I would love help on this! Also, I have no 'boards'. How do you get boards LOL? All I can do is like :) And look. Man there are some awesome ideas on pinterest!!!!

Update, Thanks to a good friend who helped me figure out pinterest! Going in full swing now :) Uh o LOL!!!

Well its the middle of the week! YAY! Not much to comment on today! This week has been pretty blah for me. For some reason, I have been exhausted! Even with exercising every day, my energy level is very low.

Looking forward to this weekend. Our friends are getting married. R will be a flower girl! Can't wait to see her all fixed up in her pretty dress and shoes!

It is so hot outside today and I'm thinking about Christmas! I was looking at some blogs today that had these snowpeople cookies and was glad to see I had a picture on my phone of the Snowpeople Cookies I had made last year!
