Cupcake Love..

Business has been soo good! I have been really busy with cakes. 7 in January! That is the most I have ever done in a month. I hope for 2 a month normally :) So far for Feb, I had the Sesame Street cake and 60th bday this past weekend. This coming weekend, Anniversary and 4 dz Grave Digger Monster Truck cupcakes and two possible orders for the 25th!! YAY!!!!! Orders already also for March and April!

Need something for Valentines or Birthday, let me know. I can help ya out ;)

Sesame Street Cake

By far, the most fun cake I have ever made! SInce it was for my nephew, it was really special and fun! He LOVES Elmo and friends. I made Elmo, COokie MOnster, Oscar, Bert, Ernie, Baby Bear and Big Bird out of fondant for the bottom layer. And the Sesame Street sign for the top. With a  Jumbo cupcake on top!

J  got his fingers in it before I got picture, but thats okay!

Pokemon Cake

Pokemon! I have NO clue about Pokemon! When I got this cake order a few weeks ago, I was stumped! The parent bought the Zekrom figure to go on top of the cake after she picked it up. I didnt get a photo with the figure on it. Just added lightening bolts, Pokemon wording and the POkeball ;)

Rae is 7.

Little bit turned 7 last week. Her bday party was at the indoor golf place. Can't plan on January weather, so always have to plan something inside. Lots of friends/cousins came and helped celebrate.

She wanted a giant cupcake on her cake. This is what we came up with (with the help of the great internet :) )

Zebra/Polka Dots

Last Friday this cake was for a sweet little girl. Hot pink/lime green/dots and zebra was the theme!

Camo Hunting Cake/4Wheeler

Cake from this past Monday. 1/2 Sheet Marble Cake with buttercream icing.

Leap Frog

Have to give a great compliment on this wonderful company! Rae received the Hot Toy of the Year, LeapPad for Christmas. Sad to say it had a line going down the screen when it was turned on. I knew no stores had it in stock and so I contacted LeapFrog. They were so nice and helpful and last night, we received a new LeapPad by UPS that is not messed up!!!!!!!! I commend this company for taking care of their customers in a very timely fashion.  O, and I highly recommend the LeapPad. Great from ages 4-9. Rae bought some apps last night with her app gift cards she had got. Super cute toy!!!!!

This is not the only toy we have had by Leapfrog and we have loved them all! Great educational toys!

Today..

The Air conditioning people showed up to put in our new AC/Heater unit. In the attic, making LOTS of noise.. I keep looking over my head to see if the ceiling is about to cave in.

Wet stuff has been falling from the sky. Like a WHOLE lot of. We have water standing outside. It's been quite awhile since the ground has been this wet. I will have to walk in the rain to get Rae since I'm still not going to waste an hour trying to be first in the school pick up line ;)

I am working on cakes this week. Got 15 cups of icing made this morning. I will need to make some more once I go get some more powdered sugar. I also made a fondant number 9 and a giant cupcake liner made out of almond bark. I found the tutorial online and then pinned on pinterest for my future reference. So easy!

Getting ready for 2 cakes this Friday and 1 on Saturday for Rae. Can't believe my baby girl will be 7 in just a few short days!

Hope your all staying dry!

Ice Skating

Raegan got to go ice skating for the first time at the Galleria. She has been begging to go and I finally caved. My parents took us skating a lot when I was little. I haven't been in at least 15 years!!! I knew I would have to skate with her. Surprisingly, I never fell. I guess it is kinda like a bicycle, you never forget! I only made it about 45 minutes, my ankles were killing me! But we had lots of fun and Rae loved it.

Happy New Year (a day late)

The 2011 review was really from Saturday but due to computer probs, it finally got done today. It was taking forever to load my pics for some reason.

Anyway, our New Years Eve was spent at the church w/our friends. Pot luck dinner and fireworks and lots of fun with our friends. We left about 11 and my eyes shut about 11:30, didn't even get to welcome the new year in!

Woke up on Sunday morning and hit Dillard's extra 50% off (only got 2 things and neither for me!) and then went to church. What a great way to start 2012, in Sunday School!

Tomorrow is back to school and back to the normal routines. I am really ready as my routine has been NONE! Just lazy and loved it, but ready for normal ;)

Wish you the best for 2012. I have lots of goals for myself that I hope to reach this year!

Christmas Eve

Santa comes tonight!!!! I am like a child on Christmas Eve ;) I have always loved Christmas Eve. Now as a parent, I love it more. To see the excitement in your childs eyes as they open their gifts and see Christmas magic thru their eyes!
Today we get to be with J's family. Where there is a ton of kids and lots of noise and action. Tomorrow is a quiet day with my family after we have Christmas at our home.

O and I ruined my CHristmas surprise this year! BOO!! I DO NOT like to know my presents! But I discovered accidently on the credit card bill.. So I guess that is another reason I am so giddy today. Tomorrow i FINALLY GET my IPAD :) YIPPEE!! LOL

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas..

All done....

And ready for Christmas. Just a few more days till Santa comes. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

School Christmas Party

Running behind on posts! But last week was the end of the first semester of 1st grade for R. I can't believe how fast time flies by! Lots of fun at the Christmas Party!
I am very blessed to be the home room mom for R's class. I love every minute of it.

This snowman on a stick is VERY deceiving! Looks so nice and pretty here. Unfortunatley, that is NOT how they ended up going home with the kids. Oh, a few were ok, but there were a few that were awful. I am hoping the parents thought they got smushed in the backpacks LOL. Needless to say, I WON"T be doing these again. When you put the stick thru the donuts, the donuts sometimes crack. GRRR!!!!!! Anyway, they were a pain, but still fun to do! :)
The snack for the party was Smore's. Chosen by the other 1st grade homeroom moms. I despise cold smores so I was determined to somehow have a 'cold smore' with 'melted chocolate' if that makes sense! Anyway, I melted the almond bark, and put on 2 graham crackers, then put a peppermint marshmallow on top then drizzled with more chocolate. They were soo yummy! The new seasonal marshmallows have a tiny hint of peppermint flavor. Just enough! The kids loved them and even the parents that tried them liked them!

Gift exchange present:

See the super cute Elf shirt Rae is wearing??? Loved it!!
